Don’t you love how your parents can ask questions that cut right to your core?
After my second failed venture, my dad pulled me aside and asked me why I didn’t just get a normal job?
“Normal job? WTF… I’m unemployable.” was my response.
I was determined to figure it out.
That’s when I went deep and started mirroring the habits of the world’s most successful business leaders.
I started with the simple things…
Like reading a damn book!
Yep, prior to that point I had never even read a business book.
And it didn’t take long to figure out the ROOT behind my early failures, and the big move that would ignite all future successes.
“If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” ~African proverb.
I was going quickly into the ground trying to do everything myself.
But after learning how to lead others (and build world class teams) to support the mission, everything changed.
Over the years I’ve perfected that process, and that’s what I want to share with you in this week’s video.
When I coach entrepreneurs on the right way to think about building out teams, we use this framework to assess their progress:
1. Story
2. Sourcing
3. Selecting
4. Selling
5. Structure
These 5 items represent just one of nearly half a dozen team building strategies I coach entrepreneurs through.
But if you follow this one framework alone, you’ll build a rock solid foundation for building and scaling your team.
If you have any other tips, tricks or stories – leave a comment and share it with the community.
I read & reply to every one and it would be more than appreciated.
Have an incredible day!
